I am more comfortable with Premiere after creating this project. Premiere crashed multiple times and I had to restart which was very frustrating because it took me much longer than expected. Though I didn't use many tools, I played around with them and got the hang of how to put them in effect. One thing I learned was that copy and paste can be really helpful when you are dealing with a long video. I shortened a 6-minute clip into a 20 second clip and copied/pasted it, so it would be easier to find the specific parts I was looking for, especially since I mashed two clips together.

This is considered fair use because I created new work using segments from other videos by recycling old material into new. I also cited the original two videos above, giving the original creators credit. These videos were given a new purpose. A humorous approach and for educational purposes, both unlike the original video's purpose of entertainment.

Accessible Video Project

Overall, I think this project was a really great way to bring attention to the fact that not everyone is able to watch or hear videos, TV shows, movies, etc. When producing projects, it is so important to include enough visual and audio details in order to provide for various kinds of people who are watching. Audio Only: With my audio only video, I strived to include as many sound effects as I could. When completing this project, I shut my eyes or avoiding looking at the screen in order to understand what it would be like to be visually impaired. With that, I tried to make my audio as detailed as possible, so that someone who is visually impaired doesn't feel like their missing out on the story. I learned new things through trial and error. For example, highlighting the part I wanted to delete was made much easier once I realized I could drag it longer or shorter if I held my tool at the top of the section. Before I realized that I had been listening to the same part over and over again, trying to find the specific second I wanted to delete. I used many of the tools that we talked about in class like the razor tool, the move tool, and the time selection tool. These all allowed me to edit my clip into a minute long story. When I added the introduction and closing clip, I had some trouble getting to the end of the page, but was able to find it by dragging the selected clip all the way to the end. Blog #3 (GSP)

Since I did yearbook for three years in high school, creating my Photostory draft felt as if I was creating a spread for yearbook. I started in Photoshop and chose two photos where the lighting was off or their were distracting elements in the photo. In the airplane photo, there was originally a Starbucks cup that I edited out by using the stamp tool. For the largest photo of the chair in Slane Student Center, I also edited a few lighting distractions by using the stamp tool and the paint tool. In InDesign, I used the fit content buttons a few times when moving around my photos, for it can be easy to make a mistake with that. I also utilized the proportions InDesign gives when you move things around. It makes your layout more organized and easier to complete. I also played around with the type tool and different fonts that InDesign has to figure out what would look best with my PhotoStory.
